Weekly Yoga Therapy Group Session, Thursdays
1:30 pm to 3:30 pm (ET)
Piedmont Newnan Hospital’s Cancer Wellness Center
These FREE OF CHARGE weekly two-hour sessions of yoga therapy are for all cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. We welcome yoga beginners!
These yoga therapy sessions, address a person’s physical, mental and emotional needs. Since cancer is a physical, emotional and spiritual experience, these sessions are particularly helpful for those who are or have been affected by cancer.
Each session includes a Healing Circle, where you are invited to share your inner reality, what is going on with you. The Circle Work is followed by a yoga practice that helps you connect deeply with your body, become aware of your sensations and the way your body interacts with the world around you.
The class ends with a closing Circle where you share what you are aware of.
The authentic sharing of who you are with others, the physical self-awareness, the trust between the participants and my work as the group facilitator, all contribute to promote healing.
Because of the nature of these sessions, I strongly encourage you to attend them regularly.
“Elisabeth has helped me bridge the gap between my mind and body, giving me space to feel all of my emotions and truly begin healing.”– April, age 38.
