I’m a yoga therapist certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists, based in Paris, France.
Yoga therapy applies yogic tools—postures, breathwork, meditation and more—to address an individual’s needs, whether physically, mentally, emotionally and even spiritually. You can practice yoga therapy whether you’re in your 20’s or in your 90’s, whatever your health condition is and whether you’ve done yoga before or not.
If you’re looking for more physical, mental and/or emotional wellness, then therapeutic yoga can help you. It can address a range of concerns—chronic pain, neurologic issues, mental health and illness support such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease. It can also simply help you live with more satisfaction in your body, your emotions, your relationships and your life goals.
I’ve designed a style of yoga therapy that uses both yoga and Circle work.
Any yoga therapy private session or group class I facilitate starts with a time for you to share your inner reality, to name what’s truly going on with you. It’s the Circle work. The Circle is then followed by a unique style of yoga that helps you relax deeply and inhabit and connect with your body.
Yoga therapy is meant to be used as a complementary medicine in addition to conventional medical treatment—It’s not meant to replace conventional medicine. This is what we call integrative medicine—a form of medical therapy that combines practices and treatments from alternative medicine with conventional medicine.
